Best of the Best – Round One, Day One!

EDIT: Day 1 winners
Hawkeye
Cinderella
Tank Girl (by FOUR votes!)
Pearl Jones
Sue Storm!

Wow. The response to our preliminary Best of the Best polls was pretty amazing. As it is, we’ve already cut down to just over half the field. Currently there are 90 women in the running to be on the top of the pile for Best Woman in Comics. Round One sees the lower seeded entrants battle it out to try and make it to round two, and let me tell you some of the match-ups are just insane! I’m not even sure how I’m going to pick a couple.

Voting will be open for 24 hours and there are 5 polls below, vote in each of them. Tomorrow there will be 5 more, and so on for the next 5 days! So come back tomorrow and spread the word to see your favourite succeed!

The heir to the throne of Atheia, Thorn vs the girl called Hawkeye

Battle of the two Girls, Hit vs Tank:

The red-headed warrior in a bikini, Red Sonja vs the spy from a fairytale world, Cinderella:

The American Vampire, Pearl Jones vs the Cute Dead Girl, Lenore:

The girl who hunts murderers, Cassie Hack vs the Invisible Woman

  1. I can’t believe it! With the exception of Sue Storm, results showed every one of my picks were for the underdog. Or, since the candidates are women, under-cat?

  2. Bob Uzumaki says:

Hmm… looks like Hit Girl vs Tank girl is going to be very, very close.
